Day Eleven: I'm (Virtually) in New York (and some thoughts on American History)

 It took me eleven days, but I've finally made it across Massachusetts. I'm a few miles into New York state.  In my super realistic "I Love NY" t-shirt!


And, as one does after work, I was looking at some of my favorite history websites and noticed that today is the 237th anniversary of the Treaty of Paris- the document which ended the American Revolution.

Given that (based on my the meager impression of the American Revolution from high school), this leads me to believe that on July 4, 1776, early Americans were all:


But when we finally were free from Britain, we just went: 


I'm just saying, we need to make a bigger deal about the end of the American Revolution, y'all.
